Catalina Valenzuela is a talented computer engineer who is dedicated to the field of computational genomics. She currently works at DiGenoma Lab on projects related to cancer genomics and hybrid haplotype assembly. Catalina primarily aims to develop computational methods for building haplotype-resolved genome sequences using a trio-based hybrid sequencing strategy. Her expertise lies in genome assembly, hybrid haplotype phasing, long-read technologies, and cancer genomics. Catalina is also an expert in High-Performance Computing (HPC) and Nextflow, which enables her to perform complex data analysis tasks efficiently. Catalina is a key member of the DiGenoma lab team.
